This 16-hour course with live instruction will cover the fundamentals required to understand PV system functions, designs and applications, as well as sales, organization and financial/economic best practices for a PV enterprise. It provides to the student essential, practical, and technical competencies that distinguish successful solar companies and practitioners in today’s competitive markets.

This curriculum has been developed based on best practice recommendations and the
technical knowledge from a variety of solar industry experts. The NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) Certification is not required to work in the solar industry. And although, the CSLS Solar PV Technical sales program is not a NABCEP certified course; it is however closely modeled after the job task analysis for that
credential and provides valuable learning towards that specific educational pursuit. As well, CSLS has integrated valuable information from the CSI (California Solar
Initiative) which NABCEP does not include it it’s curriculum but which you will need in order to be successful and competitive in the California market.
