License Exam Preparation Program
The CSLS Home Study program is designed for students who do not have easy access to one of our statewide locations or who prefer the convenience and pace of a self-study program. The Home-Study Program offers:
Self-Study Material (Text & CDs)
Your first step along the successful Mizener Method is our exclusive home-study material. CSLS home-study materials are clearly and concisely organized into sections on law, business, and trade. Working at your own pace, our practice exams, reading material, diagrams, schematics, blueprints and audio CD’s emphasize learning that you can begin to apply on the job from day one! In addition, you receive a Law DVD of our in-school courses as a supplement to your home study program. The law section of the home-study material is available in English or Spanish.
CSLS Signature Business Law & Trade “Crash Course”
Our signature business, law and trade crash course method is recognized statewide and offers live instruction plus open study hours. The timing and content of the crash course prepares you to successfully take your state exam by refreshing your memory and sharpening your recall just prior to your scheduled exam. The crash course features self-study exam practice questions similar to recent state administered questions on law, business, math, and trade. During the crash course, a final exam is given to assess your strengths and weaknesses and provide guidance in needed areas of study to better prepare you to pass the state exam.
In-School Study Lab
CSLS offers you access to study materials at any of our school locations. This includes additional exam practice questions and material for both Law and Trade. You will also have access to our in-school computer lab offering a limited number of practice test exams.
Application Review
Along with your home-study material you receive an audio CD that walks you through the application process for the Contractors Exam. Prior to submitting your application, CSLS will provide a review of your application. For a minimal fee, CSLS can also complete your application for you, to insure its accuracy and to help prevent any hold-ups with the process.
