Contractors State License Services Selects TopSchool
to Streamline Student Information Management

TopSchoolDenver, CO – August 16, 2010 – Contractors State License Services (CSLS) and TopSchool have partnered in order to streamline student information management across CSLS’ 25 locations, as well as manage the school’s ongoing growth. CSLS, the largest school in California devoted to the construction profession, will leverage TopSchool’s Student Lifecycle Management (SLM) system to track students from initial inquiry through program completion.

TopSchool’s system will enable CSLS to manage students in non-term based programs who might start and attend courses at different times and at multiple campuses. Additionally, using TopSchool’s TopViewTM reporting suite, CSLS can analyze the progress of students throughout their entire educational experience.

“Our students demand flexible delivery options and TopSchool’s SLM will allow us to better monitor their success across all campuses and programs,” said, Susan Ishii, general manager of CSLS. “We also will be able to gain greater insight into student and program results – TopSchool will not only help us centrally manage this data to plan for future expansion, but its scalable system will also support our continual growth.”

TopSchool’s SLM is delivered in a Software-as-a-Service model, and goes beyond the capabilities of a traditional student information system (SIS). It provides the portal for prospective students to learn about CSLS’ programs, the customer relationship management (CRM) system to manage prospects through admission, the SIS to track and manage the institution’s students from enrollment through program completion, and finally, a reporting suite to measure outcomes and improve offerings. Additionally, the system easily integrates with other third party applications, such as a school’s LMS.

“CSLS has developed a model that is truly student-centric enabling them to learn when and where it is most convenient,” said Matthew Schnittman. “Our flexible approach supports the school’s student focus – not only can CSLS more efficiently meet the needs of its existing students from admissions through academics, but it can also serve a growing technical education audience going forward.”

For more than 25 years, CSLS (www.makemeacontractor.com) has helped its students pass the exam to become licensed contractors in the State of California, licensing more students than any other school. From its main offices in Southern California, CSLS operates over 25 locations with full-service support classrooms, and convenient online offerings.
