ICC/IRC Certification Exam Preparation

Increase your earning potential and technical expertise.

Get IRC Certified.

Certification by the International Code Council represents a significant accomplishment that offers national recognition of this achievement. An ICC certification offers increased earning potential and opens the door to employment and career advancement with many civil jobs such as building inspection or code enforcement. Anyone in the construction industry who wants to enhance their technical expertise will also benefit from an ICC certification. A fundamental understanding of building code can help you to prepare for job site inspections and ultimately save you time and money.

Our Residential Inspector Certification exam preparation provides students with the knowledge of building and construction materials, construction methods and practices, product quality evaluations and building code requirements and regulations. You will receive practical training in applying this knowledge to the Residential Inspector Certification exam. This 24 hour course is split into 8-three hour sessions held twice a week. The course includes a copy of the 2006 International Residential Code, 2006 International Residential Code Study Companion and 2006 Turbo tabs.

Important Topics Covered:

  • Conversions
  • Footings & Foundations
  • Wall Construction & Coverings
  • Building Planning
  • Floor Construction
  • Roof/Ceiling Construction
  • Public Safety & Special Instruction
Upon successful completion of this program you will be prepared to take the exam for the B-1 Residential Building Inspector Certification. The IRC certification is also applicable towards becoming an ICC Certified Building Inspector Certification.
